The need to update the space at the headquarters was driven by the significant research that had been conducted on the reasons why people choose Bristan, which brought about an update to their branding and messaging. They were aiming to align their showroom with their new marketing messaging that encapsulated the 7 reasons to use Bristan.

For over 45 years, Bristan has delivered reliable and long-lasting products, backed by incredible customer service and reliable guarantees for added peace-of-mind. They wanted their head office to showcase their values and support this with the updated marketing messages in order to communicate this internally to staff, and externally to any visitors on site.

The urgency in the branding update was driven by a desire to have the work completed in time for a visit from the Group President, Jai Shah of the Masco Corporation, the parent company of Bristan Group. This gave Bristan the opportunity to impress their global counterparts.

Project brief

Merit Display took on the urgent project, managing the entire process from initial creative design through to production and installation. Our design, production and installation teams worked closely together to deliver the extensive scope within a demanding timeframe.

Working alongside Bristan’s marketing team, we ensured the finished environment met the required functionality while remaining fully aligned with the wider brand identity. We also collaborated with Bristan’s in-house facilities team to coordinate electrical requirements and integrate illumination seamlessly into the overall display design.

With a visit from the Group President approaching, the objective was clear: transform the showroom, warehouse and reception areas, incorporate seven key marketing messages, and create an environment that reflected the quality and values of the Bristan brand. The tight deadline added further complexity, requiring careful planning, efficient production and coordinated installation.

    Key learnings

    • Plan around live operations: Major workplace transformations can be delivered with minimal disruption when installation is carefully scheduled around working hours and operational requirements.
    • Coordinate every stage: Tight deadlines require close collaboration between design, production, facilities and installation teams to keep the project moving efficiently.
Design beyond individual spaces: A successful transformation should consider the whole environment, ensuring different areas work together as one cohesive brand experience.
    • Build flexibility into delivery: Working around changing schedules and live environments requires an adaptable approach, particularly when access and installation windows are limited.
    • Maintain quality under pressure: Challenging timescales should not compromise the quality of the finished environment, making detailed planning and strong project management essential.
