Merit Display partnered with Sandtoft to create an engaging, hands-on retail display for their innovative In-Roof Solar System. The objective was simple: design a solution that would showcase the product’s sleek integration, demonstrate ease of installation, and position it as the future of modern roofing. The result was a mobile, visually impactful display that not only elevated in-store presentation but helped set a new benchmark for solar roofing demonstrations nationwide.



Sandtoft is a well-established roofing manufacturer known for delivering high-quality roofing materials and forward-thinking building solutions. With sustainability and performance at the core of their offering, they continue to innovate within the roofing sector.
Merit Display was tasked with designing and producing a comprehensive retail display unit that would bring Sandtoft’s In-Roof Solar System to life in merchant environments. The display needed to be practical, durable, and flexible enough to suit different store requirements, while maintaining strong brand presence and encouraging customer interaction.
We were able to design a powder-coated steel tubular frame for strength and durability that was also lightweight manoeuvrable.
The Merit team engineered three interchangeable timber batten layout options to suit different merchant preferences. This gave options for different product integration depending on the configuration of each display.
We were able to create a hands-on product display that offered customers the opportunity to touch and feel the product to gain confidence in their purchase.
We integrated swivel casters for easy movement in retail environments.
Large, high-level printed graphic headers were added to the displays to maximise brand visibility.
Managed direct-to-store delivery using an online fulfilment hub to streamline national rollout.
The product required a frame that was stable but also lightweight and manoeuvrable.

The frame was set on wheels making it easy to install upon delivery regardless of store layout. It was easy to move around in any space and install relevant products for each location depending on availability.
We were able to continue to develop the project and design various display sizes as the project progressed to accommodate the needs of individual stores.
