Signage Hack – Powder-coated Aluminium

Coombe Abbey Welcome Sign

A Sunday stroll in our local park; a healthy dose of fresh air and much needed time for the children to burn off some energy! Such spaces are often dotted with information posts, the history of the area or a guide to the local wildlife you might spot as well as important directional signage.

It’s important that any sign used in such an environment is not only in keeping with the surroundings, it is also environmentally sympathetic.

Still treating your wooden posts and signs each year? STOP!

Many such spaces often use natural materials. Frequently wood from the local forest is used which is a lovely story but comes at a price! Any natural material needs to be treated in order to prevent deterioration, or at least slow it down. The elements play havoc,  and over time, what was once a beautiful sign, is faded and even worse, unsafe.

Options to tick all boxes

Our recent project with Coombe Abbey Park is a great example of maintaining a wooden effect look without the maintenance.

We advised Coombe Abbey on an aluminium base material with a wood effect powder coating finish that gives the best of both worlds.

They no longer need to treat these signs each year, just a little wipe down and they will look like new for years to come.

It was great to work with Coventry City Council for the roll out of the Coombe Country Park rebrand
