Breakthrough – Merit’s Virtual Reality Innovations

The technology will transform what people can do at exhibitions.

Sir Richard Branson saw a lifelong dream come true as Virgin Galactic crossed a new frontier recently. It became the first vehicle built for commercial passenger service to reach the edge of space.

He said: “This is a momentous day and I could not be more proud of our teams who together have opened a new chapter of space exploration.”

In the same issue of Breakthrough magazine, you can discover how our team at Merit are also pushing the boundaries of innovation to allow you to experience the benefits of Virtual Reality, particularly during the development of exhibition stands.

Ronnie Mitchell, Director of Business Development, said: “Customers can come into the office and experience their exhibition stand or retail display through the VR headset, as part of the design process. It’s been a huge success and we’ve had many positive comments.”

Andrew Thomas, Exhibition Sales Director, added: “Technology will open up the exhibition world to businesses that might otherwise not have been able to exploit the potential. The technology will transform what people can do at exhibitions.

Offer virtual tours

“Say you’d normally invite your best customer to your premises to give them a factory tour. With this technology, you’ll be able to attend the show and give people the same tour, virtually.

“It could also be used to show products that are too large for the stand, or engineering products for which you need to be able to show how it’s made inside.”
